This August, Red Cross is inviting bakers and pastry chefs from across the country to host a Big Cake Bake event and raise valuable donations to help people in need.

Taking part is easy. Simply get together with colleagues and bake your favourite cake, slice, pie, cupcake, cookie or dessert. The official event date is Monday, August 31.

However, to make sure nobody misses out, events can be held any time and anywhere throughout August.

Events can include a morning or afternoon tea, a cake sale or a competition. Join celebrity foodies already signed up to bake for Red Cross including Maggie Beer, Adrian Richardson, Poh Ling Yeow and Alvin Quah, and help some of the most vulnerable people and communities in Australia.

When you register, Red Cross will send out a host kit with everything needed to run a successful event, including a fundraising guide, posters and a donation box.
