This August, Red Cross is holding its fourth annual Big Cake Bake fundraising initiative, which promises to be bigger and better than ever.
Big Cake Bake encourages baking professionals and enthusiasts around the country to get together and whip up their favourite cake, slice, pie, cupcake, cookie or dessert in support of a good cause.
The official event date is Monday, August 25. However, to make sure nobody misses out, fundraising events can be held anytime, anywhere throughout the month. August is a significant month because the 13th marks the Australian Red Cross turning 100. Events can include a morning or afternoon tea, cake sale or a baking competition.
Several celebrities are getting ready to be involved, including Maggie Beer, Kate Ritchie (pictured), Adrian Richardson, Poh Ling Yeow, Alvin Quah, Chris Bath and Pamela Clark.
By taking part and raising funds, you will be helping some of the most vulnerable people and communities in Australia and further afield. Go to bigcakebake.org.au or facebook.com/BigCakeBake for more information.
