Bakery launches sweet and savoury doughnut-burgers

A Sydney bakery is creating a tastebud sensation with the launch of it’s range of sweet and savoury doughnut-burgers.

Don’t Doughnuts calls itself “the antithesis of a typical doughnut shop”, delivering unexpected flavours on its signature hybrid sourdough-brioche dough. And this latest offering is certainly disruptive!

The burger line includes combinations like an Angus beef patty, duo of cheese, caramelised onions and maple bacon delivered on a vanilla-glazed baked sourdough-brioche bun, cheeseburger and BLT as part of the “basic” range, which come served with sweet potato parmesan chips for $16.

The bakery’s “boujee” range ($18) includes cheesy ‘shrooms, a veggie burger (with no parmesan on the chips), and a gourmet burger loaded with caramelised onions, aioli, havarti cheese, mushrooms and an Angus beef patty.

The mouth-watering new line launches on November 23 and will be available daily between 10am and 3pm, and orders are accepted through Menulog.

If you’re not game to try the salty-sweet burgers, Don’t Doughnuts’ range of dangerously addictive doughnuts are still there, along with All Press Espresso. Just don’t be expecting anything ordinary—doughnuts come in wild flavour combos like Vegemite Butterscotch, Garam Masala Sugar Spice, Basque Burnt Cheesecake and Iranian Pistachio, as well as Strawberries and Cream Cheese, Madagascar Vanilla Glaze and Black Forrest.
