The 22nd Sirha Lyon, held in France in late January, has been declared a resounding a success.
The 2025 tradeshow drew in an international crowd which exceeded that of all previous trade shows, with a record 257,363 professionals gathering across the five-day event. The record-breaking crowd was a 25 per cent increase on previous years.
Sirha Food general director Luc Dubanchet said although he had promised a powerful Sirha Lyon 2025, it had gone beyond all expectations.
“…showcasing for five days the incredible energy of a Food Service industry that believes in its future,” he said.
“Despite an uncertain economic context, tens of thousands of professional visitors managed to promote their projects like never before with Sirha Lyon exhibitors, generating thousands of contracts.
“The quantity and, most importantly, the quality of attendees, along with its international appeal – with 15 per cent international visitors, once again a record – reward the strategy of a premium event, which makes bold choices and has established itself as a major media presence in the global food service world.”
President of GL events Olivier Ginon said the 22nd edition of Sirha Lyon stood out as an exceptional event.
“The major trade exhibition for food service and hospitality set new records with 2300 exhibitors from 40 countries and more than 257,000 professionals in attendance,” he said.
“This makes Sirha Lyon a truly unique global event, unmatched in its scope and its ability to bring together chefs from around the world – over 21,000 this year – who came to celebrate gastronomy, particularly through the two Grand Finals – the Pastry World Cup and the Bocuse dÓr, which continue to reflect an ever-growing enthusiasm for culinary heritage and creativity.”
