KeepCups keeping up

KeepCups’ online sales have gone up 400 per cent since the ABC program War on Waste aired in June. The reusable coffee cup company has benefited from the show, which urged consumers to take their own cup to cafes to reduce the waste generated by disposable cups.

KeepCups managing director Abigail Forsyth told Bean Scene the show was a tipping point for the reuse movement. “For Australian consumers who saw that program, and even those who didn’t, it started public conversations about how we can reduce the amount of stuff we’re buying and throwing away,” she said.
