Cinnabon set to roll into Sydney before the end of the year

American megalith Cinnabon is set to make a splash in Sydney later this year, with plans to set up 15 franchises across the city currently in the works.

In 1985, a father-son duo set out to create the best cinnamon rolls so they could bring deliciousness to the world. This was the start of Cinnabon, which opened in Washington on December 4 1985.

A favourite – should that be favorite? – of cinnamon roll lovers across the USA, Cinnabon has gone from strength to strength since its inception almost 40 years ago.

Since that first foray into the world of baking, the baking giant has expanded to offer a range of flavoured buns, churros and bun-muffins, as well as various hot and cold drinks.

Now, why should Australians be interested in this American bakery chain?

On September 20 this year, Cinnabon Australia announced across social media that it’s coming to New South Wales, with stores to be going up in Sydney before the end of the year.

Sydney-siders have been responding positively to Cinnabon’s announcement across social media. It appears that many lovers of pastry have awaited the American giant’s arrival in their city and have been craving the taste of Cinnabon’s classic cinnamon roll.

Of course, Cinnabon is no stranger to Australia, and this announcement comes after Cinnabon’s successful launch in Melbourne in March this year.

And there’s no forgetting that Cinnabon first sprang onto the Australian scene in Queensland. Brisbanites have been able to enjoy that sweet, sweet cinnamony goodness across 5 different locations since 2019.

Soon, Sydneysiders will be able to join in on the fun. While there are plans for at least one store in Sydney by the end of the year, Cinnabon is aiming to have 15 in NSW over the course of the next 5 years.
