American bakery franchise Cinnabon has officially announced its expansion into Western Australia.
Boxx Brands, which also owns Jesters and Croissant Express, secured the rights for the brand across the state.
Boxx Brands managing director Brett Higgons said since the franchise first landed on Australian shores in 2019, West Australians have been asking when it will be their turn to experience it.
“We are so excited to finally make their wishes come true,β he said.
Mr Higgins said the company was now in the process of selecting the perfect site for the first store, anticipating opening in winter 2024.
βOur aim is to keep the first store easily accessible for customers. We want to make it easy for first timers to taste Cinnabon and discover why these rolls have been dubbed the βbest in the worldβ. And for our fans they wonβt have go interstate anymore to get their fix,” he said.
Higgins said the store would mark the 15th in Australia. Most recently the franchise opened its first store in Far North Queensland.
βGiven the massive lines and furore weβve seen at the openings on the east coast, weβre preparing for Cinnabon to get a big welcome here as well,” he said.
“I still remember when I first tried Cinnabon in the US in 2008 and there is still nothing else like it. Our team cannot wait to share the Cinnabon obsession.β
Originally established in Seattle in 1985, Cinnabon has grown to nearly 2000 stores across more than 50 countries. At the heart of its success is the exclusive Makara cinnamon, sourced from Indonesia, which gives the cinnamon rolls their distinctive flavour and unmatched quality.
