Vital Platform For Industry Growth

The inaugural FoodTechnology Queensland (FoodTech QLD), set to launch in Brisbane during July 2013, is already exciting the state’s burgeoning food and beverage manufacturing industry.

Planning for this new event, to be held at the Brisbane Convention and Exhibition Centre from July 14 -16, 2013, is well underway with more than 100 exhibitors anticipated to showcase a comprehensive display of innovative food processing developments and technologies.

The instigation of the first ever FoodTech QLD recognises the Queensland Government’s initiative to grow the value of the state’s food industry. With a current food value chain worth some $18.7 billion and supporting 267,000 jobs, the Queensland Government’s economic development framework ambitiously seeks to increase the state’s food value chain to $40 billion by 2020.

The professional team at Diversified Exhibitions – responsible for the most successful triennial Australian food processing and technology exhibition, Foodpro – has taken up the challenge of delivering foodTech QLD to meet the specific needs of Queensland industries.

FoodTech QLD exhibition manager Peter Petherick is keen to ensure the event truly benefits the future success of Queensland manufacturers.

“We have sought to give a definite focus to the machinery, packaging and ingredients that reflect the strengths of Queensland’s food industries, in particular, those used in the meat, seafood and fruit and vegetables sectors,” Peter said.

“We believe FoodTech QLD will be greatly supported by Queensland food and beverage manufacturing industries due to its significant relevancy and benefit to these businesses. It is sure to be where strategies crystalise, inspiration blends and new business partnerships are set.”

More than 2000 key decision makers from Queensland’s food and beverage manufacturing industries are anticipated to attend the inaugural FoodTech event that’s certain to be a vital platform for industry growth in Queensland.

As a convergence of the industry’s most powerful ideas and product showcases, FoodTech QLD 2013 can already confirm such world-class exhibitors as CBS, Key Technologies, CST Wastewater, Vemag, SPX, Arrow Scientific, Wiley, KF Specialty Ingredients, Ecolab, Fallsdale, Plasdene, Titan, and Innovate and VOR.

The FoodTech QLD 2013 exhibition will be co-located with the 46th annual Australian Institute of Food Science and Technology (AIFST) Conference, which provides visitors with informative seminars concerning food science and technology, production, processing and influences on food choices within their appropriate industry.

FoodTech QLD 2013 is strictly a trade event for professionals within the food and beverage processing industries.
