Police in the sicilian town of Palermo recently arrested five mafia suspects accused of demanding payoffs in the form of pastries from a local bakery, ANsA reported.
It’s alleged that in addition to being extorted as part of a protection racket, the bakery owner was also blackmailed and forced to purchase lottery tickets from the suspects, who are reported to be members of the Pagliarelli clan.
