Gourmet Muffins Fill Gap In Market

Family-owned natural banana bread company Mama Kaz recently expanded its product range with gourmet muffins.

Available in cafes, gourmet supermarkets, schools, universities, and convenience stores, the muffins are the first non-bread product to be added to the Mama Kaz line-up. The product range already includes an extensive variety of banana flavours, fruit flavours and iced products.

Co-owner Karen Hurvitz said she noticed a gap in the market for a muffin range that was high quality and wholesome.

“We wanted to be able to offer our retailers and customers the best quality muffin that’s made with real fruit and natural ingredients, that tastes delicious, is generous in size and makes you feel good about eating it, without leaving an oily residue,” Karen said.

“Since launching, the feedback from cafes that are selling our Mama Kaz muffins has been fantastic, with some claiming to have tripled their business since selling Mama Kaz muffins,” she said.

There are seven sweet varieties of flavours in the new muffin range.
