Meat Pies Rule Convenience Market

Leading pie manufacturer Four’N twenty has said the australian love affair with meat pies is stronger than ever.

Sales of the iconic pie brand have increased 3.8 per cent in the past year in the national petrol and convenience hot food on-the-go market.

according to the latest aztec Sales data figures, the total national hot pastry on-the-go market grew 5.8 per cent by dollar value in the year to March 2013.

Four’N twenty brand manager Mark Malak said the company reported an impressive 73 per cent growth in its petrol and convenience sales last financial year.

“We are selling more meat pies than ever,” he said.

“the Four’N twenty brand grew by 29.5 per cent in sales value last year, making it the fastest growing brand compared to other products in the P&C market.”
