Big Cake Bake Supported By Prominent Food Personalities

Come August, pastry chefs will be joining celebrities, business owners and home bakers to raise money for the Australian Red Cross.

Among the event’s ambassadors are food celebrities Maggie Beer, Adrian Richardson, Alvin Quah and renowned patissier and chef Adriano Zumbo.

A keen supporter of the Australian Red Cross, Adriano is excited to be supporting such a great cause.

“This august I’ll be baking pomegranate Zumbarons and strawberry and bubblegum cheesecakes to support Red Cross. You can host your own Big Cake Bake event too – it’s so easy,” Adriano said.

Celebrity chef Poh Ling Yeow is also involved in the event and said the prospect of giving back to the community through the Big Cake Bake brings her a huge amount of joy.

“When it comes to cooking, baking is my first love. there’s nothing like creaming, whisking, measuring precisely, that makes me feel like everything in the world is ok,” she said.

The first 500 people to register will receive a complimentary baker’s pack, including a Wiltshire art of Baking Spoonula and Cake Board Set, a packet of Bakels coloured icing and a blank sponge cake voucher from the Cheesecake Shop.

To take part, register at bigcakebake.org.au.
