Son of a Baker has announced a fast-casual bakery opening soon at Bondi.

With locations already at Botany and Westfield Miranda, the new outlet at Westfield Bondi Junction is the icing on the cake for owner Roman Urosevski, who has been teasing the launch on Instagram over the past few weeks.

Although opening has been delayed, Roman expects to have the new store operational by around December 18 or 19, with an exclusive range of mini products fit for a buffet spread.

Roman grew up baking with his dad, owner of Alexander’s Bakery at Rockdale, but decided to branch out and build his own empire of bakeries while paying homage to his father – thus ‘Son of a Baker’.

Specialising mainly in croissants, cronuts and cruffins, Roman also offers a savoury burek, which is a handmade Eastern European pastry which is filled with spinach and cheese, cheese and meat and various other flavours.

Roman enjoys being creative with his products through flavour, colour, texture and design, and has previously collaborated with local artists and photographers to produce edible art series’ for Instagram. There’s always something new and exciting to sink your teeth into when you walk into Son of a Baker, and always something in the works.
