Melbourne-based pastry chef Pierrick Boyer has been awarded the Order of Agricultural Merit for contributions for French gastronomy as part of the Good France campaign.

Pierrick, who heads up the popular Reverie Café, received the award on July 18 in a ceremony.

The French Ambassador Pierre-Andre Imbert presented the award to Pierrick, as well as to chefs Phillip Mouchel, Gabriel Gate, Christian Maier, Alexander McIntosh and Scott Pickett.

The Good France Campaign was launched in 2015 by the Ministry of Europe and Foreign Affairs in partnership with renowned chef Alain Ducasse, and celebrates French gastronomy worldwide through a series of special events organized by the French diplomatic network in more than 150 countries.

The Good France campaign in Australia will run from June 24 until the start of the Paris Olympics on July 26, and will have a focus on Sports and Gastronomy.

Pierrick expressed his gratitude for the award on social media.

“Proud moment surrounded with family, friends, and peers I highly regard,” he wrote.

The Order of Agricultural Merit is similar to the OAM in Australia.
