Melbourne Café Forced to Pay Influencer

Melbourne cafe Legacy Camberwell was forced to pay an Instagram influencer Chloe Roberts more than $1600 after The Victorian Civil and Administrative Tribunal (VCAT) found no fault in her archiving the paid posts.

Owner Con Katsogiannis paid Roberts up to $300 per Instagram post, however the café owner became concerned when he could no longer see the posts in Roberts Instagram feed.

Roberts admitted to archiving the Legacy Camberwell posts, VCAT deputy president Ian Lulham said, “new images are viewed more than old images” with Katsogiannis was not losing value by Roberts archiving the posts.

Katsogiannis was ordered to pay Roberts $1400 and $276 for her legal fees.
