Nominations are now open for the South Australian Baking Show.

Once again the baking show will play host to the Australia’s Best Sausage Roll and SA’s Best Kitchener Bun competitions, both of which are shaping up to be hotly contested again in 2026.

The SA Baking Show will be held on May 16 at the Highway Hotel Function Centre in Plympton, from 9am until 3pm.

Baking Association of Australia executive officer Tony Smith said the 2026 competition was shaping up to be bigger and better than ever before.

“It’s been huge for the past few years,” he said.

“This year the winner of Australia’s Best Sausage Roll will get to go to the Gold Coast (to attend The Baking Industry Trade Show), as part of their win.”

In 2025 Whittlesea Bakehouse claimed the title of Australia’s Best Sausage Roll, whle Crafers Bakehouse took home the trophy for SA’s Best Kitchener Bun.
