Chocolate Masters To Descend On Sydney

Australia’s most talented chocolatiers and pastry chefs will descend on the Foodservice Australia expo this May to compete for a spot in the prestigious World Chocolate Masters competition.

The World Chocolate Masters, an initiative by Cacao Barry and Callebaut Chocolate, is the world’s premier culinary competition devoted solely to the art of chocolate. During the Australian qualifier the talented pastry chefs will go head-to-head as they create a range of chocolate masterpieces.

The competition will be held May 27 at the Foodservice Australia expo in Sydney. It will be the first time foodservice professionals will be able to witness the action and talents displayed by the contestants as they battle it out for the most prestigious title in the chocolate industry.

Foodservice Australia expo will feature some 100 exhibitors covering all aspects of the foodservice industry including food, drink, equipment and, of course, chocolate. Exhibitors include Lindt, Cadbury, Ferrero Rocher and Callebaut.

Six finalists will compete for the opportunity to represent Australia at the world final – emulating Seung Yun Lee, who secured fourth place for Australia in the World Chocolate Masters in Paris in 2011.

Foodservice Australia will be staged at the Royal Hall of Industries, Moore Park, Sydney from May 27-29, 2012.
