Mrs Mac’s Pie Company is a beloved pie producer that has been operating across Australia and New Zealand supplying pies, pasties, and sausage rolls since 1854.

Although it has been a family-owned and run operation since it started, this will now change, with the bakery being acquired by the Aus Pie Co in early November.

“The acquisition of Mrs Mac’s ensures that the tradition continues and that Mrs Mac’s has a bright future ahead. We have plans to revitalise the company with further investment and improve the range, without sacrificing the flavours Australians and New Zealanders love,” said Bruce Feodoroff, the CEO of Aus Pie Co.

“Our plans include the engagement with all the loyal and experienced staff across the business to improve the quality of our products. We recognise the experience and knowledge that the Mrs Mac’s staff deliver to the business, and quality enhancement is a key deliverable for us,” he continued.

Aus Pie Co values the reputation that Mrs Mac’s has for using 100% Australian beef, fresh vegetables, and local producers wherever possible.

“We are on a mission to grow this great business and brand both locally and internationally, which is a great new story for Australian food production,” said Bruce.

We are really proud to ensure that Mrs Mac’s tradition continues, particularly as so many other food companies have moved production overseas. Our manufacturing will stay in Australia and increase as we export more and more to other countries around the globe,” he added.

“This is great news for all the Mrs Mac’s workers and means that their jobs are secure long term,” Bruce concluded.
