This year’s Tasting Australia will be an eight-day showcase of great regional produce from April 30 to May 7 in various locations around Adelaide.
This year’s event has been spread across the regions to give a more immersive and genuine experience, as well as hosting stellar events in the town centre.
Some of the famed foodie regions covered are the Barossa, Fleurieu Peninsula and Adelaide Hills, where festival goers can get hands-on by visiting a farm gate, meet producers, do tastings with wine-makers or try masterclasses with renowned chefs.
On the books to host events are chefs Ana Ros, Marco Pierre, Paul Carmichael, Clayton Wells, Mitch Orr, Victor Liong and Lennox Hastie.
Tasting Australia creative curator Jock Zonfrillo said Adelaide’s burgeoning food and wine scene would provide ample inspiration for the event.
“It’s a super interesting time here in Adelaide with new cafes, restaurants and small bars. With world-class wine-makers, brewers and distilleries all within 20 minutes of the CBD, it’s fair to say we have plenty to discover,” he said.
