A new bakery in Sydney is serving up a range of unique and delicious pastries and cakes, with an eye-catching difference to most other bakeries.
Banksia Bakehouse in the Sydney CBD has a kitchen surrounded by three walls of glass so onlookers can watch the process of all cakes, croissants (which are made using Pepe Saya Butter) and pastries being rolled, filled, baked and decorated.
Banksia opened in July following COVID-19-related delays in a CBD office tower below Italian fine-diner Rosetta.
With a three metre long display case filled with a regularly changing selection of cakes – such as a cookie-cheesecake bombe cake, made with a butter biscuit base and torched meringue coating, and a chocolate-caramel toffee cake, finished with caramel buttercream, toffee almond crumble, caramel popcorn, toffee shard and honeycomb macaron – there will be no excuse for Sydney workers to not celebrate their co-workers’ birthdays in style!
