The 2022 Tassie Baking Show is just around the corner. Next week on Wednesday October 12, the Baking Association of Australia (BAA) will host the next in the series of State Baking Shows.
The Tassie Baking Show invites apprentice bakers and pastrycooks to take part in the Tasmanian round of competitions in the lead up to the Excellence in Baking Awards in 2023.
The winners of the Tassie Baking Show will join the rest of the State Finalists to compete at the Baking Industry Trade Show in Sydney in 2023. The results of these finals will be announced at the Excellence in Baking Awards, which are the culmination of a year’s worth of competitions. Queensland and WA have already chosen their best apprentices to send along. Next week, we’ll find out who will be sent from Tasmania.
Due to the number of entrants this year, a new venue is being used. This year’s Tassie Baking Show will take place at the Boat Shed on Lindsay St in Invermay overlooking the Tamar River.
The judging will end at 4pm, after which there will be an official presentation of awards and cocktail food.
Don’t worry—there’s still time to get your entries in. The BAA website has all of the information and forms you need to put your name down before it’s too late.
