Calling all West Australian-based bakers, pastry chefs and apprentices, entries are now open for the Baking Industry Employers’ Association of WA (BIEWA) Baking Industry Awards Competition.
The competition is set to be held on May 15, 2024, at John McGrath Hall & Pavillion in South Perth.
Any baker with a registered ABN is eligible to enter, although you can save $10 on each of the class entry costs by becoming a BIEWA member. Registrations close on May 14.
Then, on July 13, the BIEWA Gala Awards Presentation Night will be held at Crown Perth.
At this event, which will feature a three-course dinner, all the awards for the 2024 Baking Industry Awards will be announced: The AG (Tony) Noonan Award, Most Successful Apprentice, Champion Exhibit for both bread and pastry, and the Premier Pie Award.
Tickets for the Gala Awards Night will go on sale on May 1, 2024.
Start thinking about your recipes now, because the competition is guaranteed to be epic.
