Bakers from across Western Australia were celebrated on August 8, 2026, when the BIAWA 2026 Gala Dinner and Awards Night was held.

The awards night is a follow on from the 2026 Baking Industry Awards Competition, which was held on May 27, 2026, and saw a total of 60 classes – including 16 Gourmet classes – be judged.

BIAWA secretary Paula Van Styn said the night, themed Japanese Fantasy, had been a great event.

“Congratulations to all the winners,” she said.

“The standard of competition was exceptional, making for a highly successful and fiercely contested event… [it] showcased the incredible talent, creativity and passion that exists throughout the state’s baking industry. Judges entered the pavilion to discover an impressive display of beautifully crafted breads, pastries and gourmet creations.”
