The Baking Association of Australia (BAA) has redesigned this yearโs Victorian Baking Show to be more hands on than ever before.
With an improved competition schedule and practical demonstrations, including classes on identifying dough faults, BAA executive officer Tony Smith said, “the entire event has been focused on giving bakers hints and tricks they can take back to their businesses”.
“There will be tips on how to save time, how to get the most out of ingredients and how to stay relevant with customers,โ Tony said.
The day will also include the official awards dinner at the Goulburn Valley Hotel. For entry forms and booking slips, visit the BAA website.
Of course, no baking competition in the lead up to Easter would be complete without a hunt for the best hot cross buns. The show, which will be held on February 21 at GOTAFE Shepparton, will also play host to the prestigious Australiaโs Best Hot Cross Bun competition, which Tony said is getting harder and harder to judge.
โThe entire weekend will bring the industry together. The BAA VIC Council are gearing up for an increase in numbers as this event continues to grow in popularity year after year,โ he said.
โWith the new format, an industry forum and the special three-course awards dinner, this will be a wonderful event for Victoriaโ.
