Townsville has welcomed its third Banjo’s Bakery, after the doors to the Rasmussen storefront were opened on October 7.

Franchisee Pramod Ivan said that he was excited to have months of hard work behind the scenes pay off.

“I’m really looking forward to meeting the people who live and work around here… we’ve put so much work into getting the bakery ready, building our team and making sure everything is in place, so to finally see it come to life is a really special moment,” he said.

“We’ve been working towards this opening for a long time, and I can’t wait to welcome people from Rasmussen and the surrounding suburbs through the doors, get to know our customers and become part of the community.

“We want our customers to feel like this is their local bakery, somewhere they can pop in for their morning coffee, grab a pie for lunch, pick up some bread for the family or simply come in and say hello.”

Since their opening, Banjo’s Bakery Rasmussen has created more than 40 local jobs and Pramod expects additional employment opportunities to be up for grabs as the business grows.

“We’re really pleased to have already created so many local jobs through the new store, and we’re looking forward to growing the team even further,” Pramod said.

Banjo’s Bakery opened its first store in Townsville back in 2022, when the doors to a drive-through store were opened in Garbutt.
