Lune Bakery has officially opened its new Rosebery store, and it’s already making waves.

On opening day, pastry enthusiasts filled the block, waiting to sample Lune’s famous croissants.

“Hospitality is the most important thing in my life,” Lune co-owner Kate Reid shared with Broadsheet.

“It’s not just about the best croissant, it’s about providing an exceptional experience— that’s the difference between Lune and a standard bakery.”

The Rosebery location brings a unique experience with up to eight chefs crafting croissants right before customers’ eyes.

“You can walk around all sides of the cube to observe, and there are 10 stools to sit and watch, plus banquette seating around the room,” Reid said.

This interactive design allows customers to enjoy their pastries while taking in the artistry behind each flaky, buttery creation.

If that wasn’t enough of a treat, Lune has surprised Sydney with the opening of its second store, tucked inside the stylish Martin Place metro station.

This move has truly delighted Sydney’s croissant lovers, marking the bakery’s second permanent location in just one week. Without the usual marketin, Lune launched the Martin Place store through an Instagram reel, letting word of mouth take over.

“Does Lune rest!?” quipped one Instagram user, capturing the excitement of many Sydneysiders who’ve been eagerly awaiting the chance to pick up Lune’s iconic pastries.

With this expansion, Reid now faces the challenge of learning to delegate.

“Letting go is the hardest thing I’ve ever done professionally,” she said to Broadsheet.

It’s clear, though, that Lune’s team is more than up to the task of continuing the bakery’s legacy of perfection.
