Allied Pinnacle's investment includes a $5 million high-speed packaging line at the Kingsgrove site

Australian flour and bakery manufacturer Allied Pinnacle has invested $10 million across its Sydney manufacturing operations, in a move set to increase capacity, improve production speed and deploying automation.

The investment, announced in October 2026, will span Allied Pinnacle’s Kingsgrove and Taren Point facilities, with $ 5 million invested in an automated muffin production line at Taren Point and $5 million invested in a high-speed packaging line at Kingsgrove. Both are now fully operational.

Allied Pinnacle CEO David Pitt said the investment reflected the company’s focus on building manufacturing capability for the long term.

“For more than 100 years, we’ve been baking the future from flour, and that means continuing to invest in how we manufacture and how we support our customers,” Mr Pitt said.

“The investment across Kingsgrove and Taren Point is about building the capacity, speed and efficiency we need for the next chapter of Australian food manufacturing.

“It means we can respond faster to customer demand today, while building a more productive manufacturing base for the future.”

At Kingsgrove the $5 million packaging line is expected to improve production speed, flexibility and consistency across its range of flour and bakery products.

At Taren Point, Allied Pinnacle has completed a $5 million investment in an automated muffin production line, increasing productivity while improving consistency across the operation for both large and small muffins.

“With our customers facing continued cost pressures across the food supply chain, investing in automation is an important part of building a more efficient and resilient manufacturing business,” Mr Pitt said.

“By improving productivity within our own operations, we’re better positioned to continue delivering value to customers over the long term.”
