It’s almost time once again for the Tasmanian Baking Show.
The popular competition, hosted by the Baking Association of Australia, is set to take place on October 21, 2027, at the Boathouse Function Centre in Launceston.
Baking Association of Australia executive officer Tony Smith said the 2027 competition would include a brand new category, The Festive Season Selection, in addition to the annual Australia’s Best Fruit Mince Pie competition.
Last year saw more than 300 entries submitted, with Bakers Delight Mowbray taking home the Champion Loaf of the Show – David Cripps Trophy for their 450g Grain Cob. Taylors Bakehouse won Champion Pie of the Show with their Gourmet Red Meat Pie, while Sophie Weeding from Brighton’s Best Bakehouse took home the Champion Cake of the Show/Pastry of the Show for her Fruit Flan. Gumnut Patisserie claimed the title of Australia’s Best Fruit Mince Pie.
Nomination forms and further information about the Tasmanian Baking Show are available on the Baking Association of Australia website.
