On August 7 bakers from across NSW headed to Wollongong for the Baking Association of Australia’s Wollongong Baking Show.
Held at the Illawarra TAFE campus, the Wollongong Baking Show competition is always well-attended, and 2024 was no different.
Lagom Bakery took out the Champion Loaf of the Show – which they also claimed in 2023 – for their traditional crusty baguette, while The Gumnut Patisserie took home the Most Successful Cake Exhibitor award.
Danielle Abela from The Gumnut Patisserie was awarded Champion Cake/Pastry of the Show for her fruit flan, and Jason Crouch from Bakers Delight Albion Park Rail took home the Most Successful Bread Exhibitor trophy.
After their win Lagom Bakery thanked all their customers for their constant support.
“Thanks you for all the constant support as we continue to ferment, feed and nourish. We’re buzzing with excitement and gratitude,” they said.
