Excellence in Baking 2019

The Baking Association of Australia’s (BAA) Excellence in Baking Competition was officially held in conjunction with the Baking Industry Trade Show in Melbourne.

This year’s Excellence in Baking Competition was conducted live in front of trade show visitors on June 5.

The 240 industry guests enjoyed a great night of celebration with the National Manager of Bakery EOI Peerless Foods Stewart Baird opening the winning envelopes to announce Angie Zhang from WA as the official Apprentice Pastry Cook and Queensland’s Holly Fennell as the Official Apprentice Baker for 2019.

The Excellence in Baking Competition is the pinnacle of apprentice bakers and pastry cooks, allowing candidates the opportunity to compete at state level with the winners going on to compete at a national level.
