New Euro-inspired all day bakery and cafe Cheri has officially opened its doors in Melbourne.
The bakery is the latest offering from the Darling Group, the people behind many of Melbourne’s top eateries including Top Paddock, Kettle Black, and Higher Ground.
The latest addition is located directly across from South Melbourne Market in the retail space formerly occupied by Chez Dre and Bibelot. Cheri has transformed them into a 150-seat venue that’s open seven-days-a-week.
In the Cheri kitchen you’ll find Darling Group’s Executive Pastry Chef Michael Germanos, who will be heading up the range of pastries, cakes and bread that are all made onsite daily. These will also be sold across each of the Darling Group’s other venues.
Included in the range are an extensive collections of both sweet and savoury croissants, eclairs, as well as classic offerings of sourdough, baguttes, and focaccia sandwiches. Cheri’s signature petite tarts, cakes and grand gateaux round out the offering.
