Toowoomba bakery The Baker’s Duck has been crowned Queensland’s best bakery in the All the Best campaign.

Created by the Queensland State Government, the initiative saw Queenslanders cast their votes for their favourite businesses across 15 categories from bakery to best banh mi place, best cafe, butcher, beach, gym and pub.

Almost 75,000 unique votes were cast in the All the Best campaign, with the winners announced on Queensland Day on June 6.

Queensland Premier David Crisafulli said that All the Best was Queenslanders doing what they do best.

“All the Best is exactly that – Queenslanders backing Queenslanders and getting behind the local spots and businesses that they love,” he said.

“A record-breaking number of votes shows we are building something special for this state, just how proud Queenslanders are of where we live, and how good our local businesses really are.

“Congratulations to every winner and the the thousands of Queenslanders who got behind them to take the crown in their category.”

The Bakers Duck announced the win on social media, and [paid tribute to the hard work of the entire team.

“We won. Queensland’s Best Bakery,” they wrote on Instagram.

“Eleven years of early mornings, flour-dusted benches, and pouring everything we have into every single thing we make and you voted us the best bakery in Queensland. From a little shop on Campbell Street in Toowoomba to Queensland’s best!

“To our team this one is for you. The artisans who show up before the sun does, who obsess over every layer, every fold, every detail. Who care as much about what comes out of that kitchen as we do. We would be absolutely nothing without you and don’t you forget it.

“And to our community this is yours too. Every single person who voted, who walked through our doors, who told a friend, who has been part of what we’ve built here. We are nothing without you either, and we mean that.

“Thank you from the bottom of our hearts. We can’t wait for what’s to come.”
