The nation’s best small business owners gathered in Sydney on April 13 for the 2024 Small Business Champion Awards.

Building on the success of the 25^th anniversary of the awards in 2023, the awards acknowledge the vision and commitment small businesses across the country display.

Awards founder and Precedent Productions managing director Steve Loe said he was in awe of what small business can achieve and know how important it is to highlight the significant contribution they make to the Australian economy.

“We continue to see an array of successful businesses enter the awards,” he said.

2023 Small Business Champion Entrepreneur winner Stacey Hollandss of Lust Minerals, said claiming the award had filled her with immense pride.

“This acknowledgement serves as a testament to the commitment and hard work that both my team and I have wholeheartedly invested in, nurturing the wonderful community we’ve built at Lust Minerals,” she said.

The bakery sector was well represented at the awards, with OMG Donuts taking home the Best Fast Food category, while Farrar & Sons Bakehouse from Newcastle beat out eight other bakeries to claim the bakery category.

“We are so proud of our entire team, we can’t wait to have this beautiful trophy sitting in our bakery,” Farrar & Sons Bakehouse shared on Instagram.

“We would love to also say thank you to all our wonderful customers for being by our sides.”

OMG Donuts shared words cannot express the pride and excitement this achievement brought the company’s directors.

“We are thankful every day for you, our wonderful customers, who continue to support us and show up to our markets, pop-ups and events all around Australia and now also in New Zealand,” they wrote on Instagram.

“We have so much more to bring you in the future.”
