Rise Bakery, a Gold Coast-based, is set to make its way to Brisbane in 2023. The French patisserie made the announcement in late 2022, and since then development has been under way to get the new space ready for Rise’s arrival.

After opening mid-2022, Rise has cemented its place on the Gold Coast landscape. Taking residence in Sanctuary Cove, French chef pâtissier Adrien Marcinowski and chef Maxime Bournazel set up Rise to be a small slice of France in Queensland.

“Rise Bakery was born out of our desire to recreate an authentic experience of visiting patisseries and boulangeries with loved ones, just like we did growing up in France, from design and atmosphere to taste,” Maxime told The Weekend Edition.

“We have been fortunate to be able to do this with Rise Baker on the Gold Coast and look forward to offering the same experience to Brisbane customers at Portside Wharf.”

Portside Wharf in Hamilton, Brisbane, is the perfect place for Rise Bakery to develop its latest patisserie. The venue is currently undergoing a $20 million renovation that will make room for a wide range of new retailers; the new venue

“We are delighted to be a part of Portside Wharf’s next chapter, with planned redevelopment already under way making it an exciting time to call the precinct home.”

“Enjoying a freshly made croissant with champagne is something everyone should experience,” Maxime said.

The current opening of Rise Bakery Portside Wharf is scheduled for this coming April.
