Old Kellogg’s in Tip Top Shape

Tip Top Bakeries has acquired a 25,000sq m site at Charmhaven on the New South Wales Central Coast.

The bread manufacturer will invest millions in refurbishing the site, which will enable it to extend its bakery and distribution network. Around 100 new jobs will be created in the region in the process.

Tip Top Bakeries managing director Andrew Cummings said the company was adding to its bakery network at a time when many manufacturers were consolidating and closing sites.

“This exciting multimillion-dollar investment will ensure we continue to produce and deliver the highest quality product daily across Australia, and are working to fulfill our ambition to become a leading bakery company in Australia and New Zealand,” he said.

The site, which was formerly owned by The Kellogg Company, will undergo significant refurbishment in the coming year. Tip Top Bakeries has three other NSW-based bakery and distribution operations at Newcastle, Chullora and Ermington, and 11 manufacturing plants across Australia.
