Bakeries in Australia’s Top-end are struggling to find NT struggles to retain bakers and keep them, according to the ABC.

Boat Shed Coffee House owner John Bonnin told the ABC he hunted for NT struggles to retain bakers Australia-wide and those who did come through the doors left shortly after, as they saved up enough money to move to more populated areas of the country.

After two years of trying to find someone locally, Mr. Bonnin sponsored Italian baker Angelo Pinto to come to Darwin to work for him.

Other trades in high demand are panel beaters and electricians, with some employers looking for permanent staff for several years.
