The 2024 competition will once again play host to the Australia’s Best Sausage Roll Competition. Last year saw 81 bakeries enter the inaugural competition, with some travelling from as far as Moree and Tasmania.
BAA executive officer Tony Smith said the judges tasted 378 pieces of product on the day.
“110 people booked tickets to attend the cocktail-style presentation, with giveaways [and games] during the night… Everyone celebrated into the night.
Banana Boogie Bakery from Belair in SA took home the trophy for Best Sausage Roll. The Show also saw the new category of Australia’s Best Kitchener Bun added to the competition list, with Justin Dellow from Pik A Pie Bakery claiming the win.
The show is set to be held on July 6 at the Marion Hotel. Entries can be made on the Baking Association of Australia website.
