Bakers converged on the TAFE NSW Hamilton campus on Wednesday, March 3 for the Newcastle Baking Show with the full results released by the Baking Association of Australia (BAA).
Anthony Adam from The Bradley Street Baker won Champion Loaf Of The Show (Arthur Denison Trophy), as well as first place for 680gm Sourdough White (baked on a tray) and Flavoured Sourdough.
The Champion Cake / Pastry of the Show (Bob Connell Trophy) went to Paul Mackie (pictured with EOI’s Laurie Farr) of Bakehouse Café, Central Coast NSW. Bakehouse Café was also the winner of Most Successful Cake Exhibitor, while the Most Successful Bread Exhibitor on the day was Chris Matthews of Bakers Delight Lake Macquarie.
Milton – Myall River Bakery took out the top spot for the Plain Meat Pie category, as well as the Pasties.
