On July 25 bakers from across Queensland will descend on Brisbane for the 2026 Queensland Baking Show.

This year the hugely popular competition, hosted by the Baking Association of Australia, is scheduled for July 25, and will be held at Albion Park Paceway.

Once again entries will be judged in 31 classes from bread to pies and cakes and an apprentice section.

Judging will commence from 11am on July 25, with the awards presentation following that night from 6pm.

The 2025 iteration of the event didn’t disappoint with the Queensland Baking Show Perpetual Trophy awarded to Luke Moy from Woolworths Tweed City while the Champion Loaf of the Show went to Connor McNaught from Uncle Bobs Bakery for his ciabatta loaf. Connor also took home the trophy for the 450g five-strand plait and 680g sourdough rye categories. Leon Ly from LTT Patisserie won Champion Cake/Pastry of the Show for his vanilla slice, while The Squealing Pig claimed first and second place in the Gourmet Pie category as well as first place in the sausage roll category.

Registrations for the 2026 Queensland Baking Show are now open. More information and entry forms can be found on the Baking Association of Australia website.
