Angela Morrison will be travelling to Australia as a judge at the International Cake Show Australia

Some of the world’s best cake decorators will be heading to Brisbane next month when the International Cake Show Australia takes place.

Set to be held at the Brisbane Convention and Exhibition Centre from April 11 to 13, the award-winning show will cover all things baking from cake and cookie decorating to sugar art.

More than 100 free demonstrations will take place across the three days, which will also profile celebrity chefs and huge sugar sculptures, hands-on workshops, and classes suitable for every level of experience.

In the Battle of the Sugar Giants competition six world class artists will go head to head, creating 3mx3m sugar installations. There will be a Legoland with a Marvel twist, an Enchanted Forest and Alice in Wonderland setting.

The Wedding Cake Designer of the Year competition will be judged by Angela Morrison from Cakes by Angela in the US, as well as Marc Suarez Luxury Cakes in Paris, France; Susanti Sunardje from LeNovelle Cake in Jakarta, Indonesia; Dominique Pickering from Polly Pickering Cakes in Yorkshire, UK; Aimee Ford from Aimee Ford,  at the Isle of Man, UK; Zoe Clark from Zoe Clark Cakes on the Sunshine Coast and Nikki Ernst from Queensland Brides.

Returning to the event for her third year is MC and host Rose Dummer, who famously created a life-sized Paddington Bear for Queen Elizabeth II. On the Sunday she’ll be showing audiences how she created the edible fine China cup and saucer she created for the Queen.
