National Pie‘s Hottest Pie Hundred competition is back once again in 2025.
This year’s competition will see entrants vote for their favourite national pie song, with the top 100 choices available on Spotify.
National Pie chief executive officer Geraldine Tebbutt said the team has genuinely enjoyed launching this much-loved competition once again.
“We were really overwhelmed by how many people loved our pie-themed playlist in 2024. Thousands of people entered the National Pie compeition and voted for their favourite pie song. Now we’re excited to continue the tradition, and we hope pie lovers across the country will enjoy the new Hottest Pie Hundred playlist for 2025,” she said.
“So many fans get a real kick out of listening to our playlist during summer road trips, on the beach or at their backyard barbecues.
“While this year’s [2024] playlist includes the classics everyone knows and loves such as Don McLean’s American Pie, we have added some fun new pie songs such as Berry Pie from Dolly Parton, Shoefly Pie by Zac Brown Band, and It’s a Wonderful Day for Pie by the cast of Family Guy.”
Ms Tebbutt said the compilation also included three songs each from The Beatles and NRBQ along with double entries from John Fogerty, Frank Sinatra and Australian folk band The Wayfarers. There are also six songs about cherry pie, seven songs about apple pie and four different Pie in the Sky tunes.
To cast a vote, participants can head to National Pies’ social media channels and follow the links. Each entrant will also go in the running to win 100 pies from National Pies and 100 beers.
Voting is currently open, and will close on January 23, with the winner of both the Hottest Pie Hundred song and the competition announced at 5pm.
