The Foodservice Suppliers Association Australia (FSAA) annual conference will be held on Tuesday, September 12, in Sydney to coincide with this year’s Fine Food Australia trade show.

The theme of this year’s event is “Striving for Excellence”, and the FSAA has secured Larry Oberkfell, CEO/President of the US-based International Foodservice Manufacturers Association (IFMA), to deliver the keynote address.

FSAA ( Foodservice Suppliers Association Australia) CEO Vince Crawley said Larry’s keynote speech would “look at trends, dynamics and developments within the US foodservice marketplace, which of course is the largest in the world”.

In addition to Larry Oberkfell, speakers for the 2017 FSAA Conference include Anouche Newman, CEO of Customer Service Institute of Australia; Dr Sean Richardson, Director of Headstrong High Performance; Simon Morgan, Director of the Australian Logistics Council; and Neil Rechlin, Partner at NextGen Group.

Following on from the FSAA Conference will be the annual FSAA Awards for Excellence, held on the evening of the same day. As always the Awards will be announced during a gala dinner and include state foodservice distributor finalists and the presentation of the FSAA’s national awards which recognise excellence in food manufacturing, non-alcoholic beverage manufacturing, food and grocery distribution, tabletop supply and distribution, commercial equipment, and other services to the industry.

Attendees will also meet the FSAA Hall of Fame inductees for 2017 and the recipients of this year’s FSAA Business Management Scholarship program.

Both the 2017 FSAA Conference and the Awards for Excellence will be held on Tuesday September 12 at Doltone House, Jones Bay Wharf, Pirrama Rd, Pyrmont. The Conference will run during the day with the awards presented in the evening.
