Popular Melbourne pasta shop Fabbrica has recently announced that it will be expanding to a bakery in Rozelle. The new bakery comes after the success of a pop-up store the business ran in 2021. Set to open in August, Fabbrica’s new location is the latest in the line of Melbourne CBD-based businesses making their way to the outer suburbs.

The new bakery is set to stock a range of freshly baked bread, pastries, and cakes. Many of the items that are already stocked at the original Fabbrica store in Melbourne CBD will be available at the new Rozelle store, including their sandwiches, banoffee tarts, sausage rolls, and chocolate-filled bombolini.

All of this will be in addition to some other treats that head baker Aniruddha Bhosekar and Alyce Bennett (formerly of Humble bakery) will be cooking up.

“The sourdough and sandwiches we’re already known for at Fabbrica King Street will be key items at Rozelle, but I’m also really excited about a new banana saffron custard tart I’ve been trialling,” Alyce told delicious.

“[I’ve been] experimenting with different flavours of maritozzi, sticky buns, cookies, and scrolls.”

Coffee by The Little Marionette and short list of alcoholic drinks will also be available at the new Fabbrica store, where customers will be able to sit and enjoy any treats that they purchase at the bakery.
