Excellence in Baking QLD state round results

The results are in for the Excellence in Baking Queensland state round.

Held at the Qld TAFE Campus Southbank, the apprentices knuckled down for the massive day.

Aiden Bradley from Coles was named as the winner of the Bread section, and Cody Aberdeen from Flour and Chocolate took out the pastry section.

Both Aiden and Cody will now go on to represent Queensland in the National Grand Final Bake Off, which will be held in Melbourne on June 18-20.

Up next is the Excellence in Baking NSW round, which will take place on January 30.

The Excellence in Baking South Australia rounds will be held on February 16 (bread) and February 23 (pastry), and the Victorian round will take place on February 19-20.

The 2024 Excellence in Baking National Bread and Pastry national winners will receive a scholarship from Rosewood Research that will allow the winners to visit an artisan bakery and farm to expand their studies on both bread and pastry.
