To celebrate National Doughnut Day, Donut King and Ovolo Hotels will be coming together to launch an unexpected experience: the ‘Hot Cinni Hotel’.
This limited-time collaboration takes the form of an immersive hotel suite takeover at Ovolo Woolloomooloo in Sydney, running from June 6 to 9.
The opening date of the ‘Hot Cinni Hotel’ will commemorate the annual celebration, honouring the beloved sweet treat.
At the heart of the collaboration are two bespoke suites transformed into cinnamon doughnut-inspired havens. Guests staying in these suites will find themselves surrounded by cinnamon-scented diffusers, doughnut-themed décor, pink art-deco touches, and custom Donut King linens.
The experience extends into hospitality as well—an exclusive room service feature allows guests to summon freshly made cinnamon doughnuts at the push of a button.
Throughout the hotel, Ovolo has embraced the cinnamon doughnut motif, from lobby lighting that mimics the warm tones of the treat to a curated food and drink menu.
The hotel bar will feature bites like dulce de leche-topped doughnuts, cinnamon-infused cauliflower bites, and skewers paired with cinnamon barbecue sauce. Guests can also sip on a signature ‘Cinnitini’, a cocktail designed by the hotel’s in-house mixologist.
Ovolo Sydney general manager James Clark was enthused at the partnership between dessert and luxury.
“Partnering with Donut King to offer our guests an undeniably exhilarating and unexpected culinary experience during their stay is a sweet deal,” James said.
Donut King marketing manager Raquel Hine agreed, noting the nostalgia that comes with the franchise’s cinnamon doughnuts will make the experience that more memorable.
“We all have memories of family time spent with a Donut King signature cinnamon doughnut, and millions of Aussies have grown up sharing that experience, which is why we set out to hero our number-one product in all its glory every year on a huge industry day,” Raquel said.
“We are famously known as the home of the hot cinnamon donut, because when it comes to our cinnamon doughnuts, we have the best—no question.”
