Cinnabon is officially making its return to Victoria, with the announcement of a new store opening at Watergardens Shopping Centre in Melbourne’s western suburbs on May 10.
The move marks a re-entry into the Victorian market after several years of absence, with expansion plans already in motion.
The new location is the 23rd Cinnabon bakery in Australia and the first of three planned Victorian sites scheduled for 2025. The rollout is being led by Always Hungry Club, a family-owned hospitality business that has taken over the state’s licensing rights.
Cinnabon Managing Director Veronica Cheung acknowledged the long-standing demand for the brand’s return.
“We know Victorians have felt left behind. We’re sorry it’s been a few years, but the spotlight is officially back on Victoria, and we are very excited to be rolling out a new store,” Veronica said.
The Watergardens bakery will also unveil a refreshed store design by Elvin Tan Design, reflecting a focus on creating a more immersive retail experience.
“All I can say is that we are upping the game with this store and want buying a Cinnabon roll to be a true experience for customers,” Veronica said.
As part of its commitment to freshness, all products will be baked on-site daily using the brand’s signature Makara cinnamon, with scrolls replaced every 30 minutes.
“Freshness and taste are paramount,” Veronica said.
“Our bakers create the scrolls daily in store… We will also begin home delivery a few months after opening.”
