Sydney-based Brooklyn Boy Bagels has been named the Best Bakery in Australia at the Local Business Awards.

The awards night, held on March 29, 2025, saw Brooklyn Boy Bagels take home the award ahead of five other Bakery nominees: Afghan Traditional Sweets (Queensland), Farrar & Sons Bakehouse ( NSW), Gourmet Cupcakes and Donuts (NSW), Lagom Bakery (NSW), and Mr Spanish Churro (NSW).

The awards recognise outstanding small businesses, with the finalists selected based on nominations received from the public. Each business is then judged against specific criteria.

Brooklyn Boy Bagels announced the win on their social media accounts.

It’s the second time Brooklyn Boy Bagels has been recognised in recent months, with the bakery also claiming the Asia Pacific title at the 2024 Bagelfest, in addition to third prize in the Best International Bagel category.
