Banjo’s, the popular Tasmanian bakery chain, has opened a new store in Brighton, north of Hobart.
“I’m so thrilled to be able to bring Banjo’s to my own community,” local franchisee Ella Gatehouse said to Pulse Tasmania.
“Opening a new store in Brighton is a special moment for myself and my family.”
The new location offers a variety of the brand’s signature pies, including Chunky Beef, Bacon and Cheese, and Tasmanian Curried Scallop.
“We’re looking forward to offering freshly baked goods, Australian sourced ingredients and a menu that truly celebrates Tasmania’s rich culinary traditions,” Gatehouse said.
Banjo’s acting CEO Bradley Saxby reflected on the company’s growth, saying the expansion feels like “coming full circle”, especially after launching multiple new stores on the mainland.
“Banjo’s began here in Tasmania and it’s incredibly rewarding to see how far we’ve come from a small local bakery to a beloved national brand,” he said.
“This new store reflects our ongoing commitment to stay true to our roots and grounded in our community as our network grows.”
