After nearly 20 years of service, Cafe De Vili’s at Mile End in South Australia has reopened after a major renovation.
The Adelaide cafe has welcomed its customers into the transformed space, which is now a sleek, modern haven for food lovers.
The bakery sourced and built utilising only Australian companies, and the entire cafe was closed for only four days to complete the makeover.
“We haven’t had a renovation here for nearly 20 years, so it was well overdue,” bakery owner Peter said to Glam Adelaide.
During the renovation the interior was completely redone, including the installation of new flooring, counters, and refrigeration.
While the renovation was underway, Peter and the Cafe De Vili’s team continued to bake for their customers, even if it wasn’t in their usual kitchen.
“All of our customers are really endearing and love the place. Even when we were closed, it was quite amazing how many people came to do the door,” Peter said.
To keep everyone satisfied during the closure, the cafe set up a pop-up store in their car park, where people could enjoy their famous pies, pastries, donuts, and coffee.
