Baker’s Dozen returns to Melbourne in 2026

Events

For the fourth year running the popular Baker’s Dozen will be returning to Melbourne’s Federation Square as part of the Melbourne Food & Wine Festival.

Set to be held on March 28 and 29, 2026, the event is promising to be bigger and better than ever before.

Heading the line-up is Australian-born, London-based pastry chef Helen Goh, who will be collaborating with Mietta by Rosemary to create a one-of-kind bake. Then, James Beard Award-winning author Abi Balingit will take over the stage with a collaboration with Dröm.

The 2026 line-up reads like a who’s who of the baking industry, and will include Akimbo, Amann Patisserie, Baker Of Things, Butter Days, Calle Bakery, Kudo, Iris, Lune, Madeleine De Proust, Raya, Tarts Anon, and To Be Frank. The Invy Baker will be making the trip from Gippsland – and they’ll be teaming up with Michael and Pippa James’ newly opened Urbanstead – while A.P Bakery will head south from Sydney to work with Oji House.

You’d think watching baking royalty take to the stage would be enough, but Baker’s Dozen will also once again have a Hot Cross Bun Bar where Baker Bleu creations will sit side-by-side with those from Bread Club, Loafer, and Wild Life Bakery, while suited up Butter Butlers will be on hand to quite literally butter your bread.
